TahlCAM has been discontinued. A new version may be out in 2009.

How to Buy

The part on the right was imported from Solidworks. Tool paths were derived from the part geometry. On-screen animation provides a view of what the post will do on the machine. We never edit the post. We never cut air with TahlCAM because the cutter does exactly what we want. Powerfull path editing tools make optimising a program very easy. The new group browser makes organizing and editing groups painless.

The PathfFinder tool makes quick work of joining lines and arcs into Poly lines with a known start point and direction.

The OffsetMaster tool lets you drag cutter offsets in real time with finish allowance and controllable step over.

OffsetMaster can automatically connect offsets.

On screen animation shows the cutter moving in a true path . Visually verify each move the machine will make as the program is built.

Using the sink tool, one can create multiple elevations of a defined cutter path.

Change a pocket depth and re-post in just seconds by typing a new elevation. Add or delete elevations. Just one path may be independently moved up or down.

Define up to 99 cutting tools that you can call at will.

Create automatic drill paths with 9 way sorting and post machine drill and tap cycles to the control.

Our Post definition editor will guide you through creating a post definition for your machine control. Each control style has multiple categories of settings that have associated user guidance and a default value.

The TahlCAM post is ready to run. There are many settings in the post definition that control how the post will look. At right is a post for a FANUC OMC controller

We do routing of fiberglass gears and TahlCAM is perfect for this. Firstly, TahlCAM allows us to work completely in AutoCAD for both CAD and CAM which gives us all the drawing power of AutoCAD and really helps organizing jobs. Since all of our work is 2D, we don't need or want a more pricey 3D Solids or Surfacing package.

Next, TahlCAM gives us a much greater degree of control than I have seen in any other package. I have complete control over direction and ordering of cuts. I can directly edit tool paths, adding or removing segments. I can easily add flags and macros. TahlCAM has a great visual interface where all controls are represented iconically which allows you to organize a tremendous amount of information neatly and compactly. We have used TahlCAM for two years and we think it is invaluable.

We have a demo version that posts 1000 lines of G code. Please contact us for more information. bob@tahlinc.com PDF Manuals
